meet the girls

meet April, May, and June! these are my family's chickens. they're so sweet and adorable. June will run up to you just like a dog (well they all will, but June is especially bold). these darling hens aren't very smart, but what they lack in intelligence they make up for by being so darn cuddly and cute.
oh, and that third photo is a random snapshot of our backyard...i thought the sheets hanging on the clothesline and the sun in the background made for a nice picture.

ps- don't forget to enter the giveaway!

  1. COOL! I want a pet chicken. Do you teach them tricks? Or take them for walks? :)

  2. haha we used to live on a farm, and when we did we had chickens that would perch on my arm, but that's the only trick i've ever taught a chicken. i haven't thought about the walks...they would probably get spooked pretty easily. they're really cuddly and huggable though, if you get the right breed! =]

  3. Very cute! They look very content in that lush grass!

  4. This post is cute..I like the sunshine in it...Those chicken look cute in it!

hi! i'm Lena, but you can call me Lulu. i love Frida Kahlo, feminism, art, reading, kitties, and drinking tea. i love the film Amelie and i think that the tiny traveling gnome has stolen my heart. i want to own a bookshop and live above it one day. i get quite passionate about things. i tend to think too much. i'm kind of a hermit.
