Colette Patterns is home to some of the most adorable sewing patterns that i have ever seen. it's so difficult for me to find cute patterns that are my style. kind of vintage, with an fun, unique twist. Sarai Mitnick (find her personal blog here), the designer who launched Colette, creates patterns that are girly and have a sweet simpleness to them, so you could easily use the same pattern lots of times and get a completely different look depending on what kind of fabric you use and if/how much you tweak the design to your liking. wearability and ease of instruction reading are the key deciding factors in how much i like patterns, though. so until i get my hands dirty and make some dresses (or that adorable high-waisted skirt), i'll just provide you with pretty pictures of Colette's finished products and lovely watercolors, and tell you all (non-seamstresses and seamstresses alike) that this seems like a very great line of sewing patterns, indeed.

- hi! i'm Lena, but you can call me Lulu. i love Frida Kahlo, feminism, art, reading, kitties, and drinking tea. i love the film Amelie and i think that the tiny traveling gnome has stolen my heart. i want to own a bookshop and live above it one day. i get quite passionate about things. i tend to think too much. i'm kind of a hermit.
oh! i love it!
ReplyDeleteand the buttons in the hair! so sweet!
