music videos

i don't watch any tv shows on television (thank goodness for Hulu and Netflix), so i guess it goes without saying that i don't watch many music videos either. every once and a while i will come across a music video on the internet that i absolutely love, though, and it's as i'm watching it that it that i understand the magic surrounding music videos. it's a combination of aural and visual stimulation that takes you to another place. a dance move, a delightful costume, or simply a picture flashing across the screen can play huge parts in drawing you in and grabbing a hold on your imagination. to me, imagination is everything. and a brilliant, creative music video is all sorts of imagination. starting with the artist behind the video and ending with yours.

there's more to life than this

i am so smitten with this photo. it's titled "there's more to life than this" by Lieke Romeijn. the girl's hair...it draws me in and i can't stop staring at it! and the way her lipstick is applied messily, but not so much that you notice it right away. it's all so wonderful. oh and definitely check out the rest of Lieke Romeijn's Flickr photostream. you won't be disappointed!

also, i can't get this song by The Bamboos out of my head! the video's super fun, too. first heard on Aurgasm.
