six ways III

six ways to fight having a bad case of the monthlies.

1. take a hot bath. heat helps me more than anything with yucky cramps. heating pads are also super helpful. i use a heating pad like this one.

2. drink cups of tea. personally, drinking tea just helps with my mood. so i tend to drink lots of it when i don't feel good.

3. take a walk. sometimes a little bit of exercise goes a long way.

4. read a book. fluffy chick lit is a must in this situation.

5. chocolate. no explanation needed!

6. take a nice nap (or two, or three, or four...) it can be exhausting being a woman!

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.

  1. That just may be the most adorable teapot I've ever seen. Tea always helps me when I'm not feeling good too!

  2. Love this list..the photos are so nice

  3. love it! "the monthlies"....i need to start using that term ;D

  4. Rub a couple drops of chamomile oil on your tummy before using the heat pad, it's a natural analgesic and anti-inflammatory, and it smells good too!!

  5. Lulu,I was trying to find the inspiration to make a blog post...then I read this and decided to take the day off.I've done 4 out of 6 of these ideas already today and you've motivated me to keep the blog post short and the chocolate indulging and napping sweet. Being a woman IS exhausting.
    Lots of love

  6. C&D: oh wow that sounds amazing! i'm definitely going to have to try that!

Nancy: it is exhausting, and you should take as much rest as you need. i think thats one of the benefits of friends in the blogosphere...they understand when you need some "you" time. take care of yourself!! and enjoy that chocolate! ;]

  7. Love these...
    Hope you feel better...

  8. Numbers 5 and 6 are totally fool proof!
I love the pictures you used. :)

hi! i'm Lena, but you can call me Lulu. i love Frida Kahlo, feminism, art, reading, kitties, and drinking tea. i love the film Amelie and i think that the tiny traveling gnome has stolen my heart. i want to own a bookshop and live above it one day. i get quite passionate about things. i tend to think too much. i'm kind of a hermit.
