happy fish

don't these happy fish make you so...happy? they put a big smile on my face! they're extra adorable. those little fishies look like they're going to strike up a conversation with you! i would love to hear what they have to say about being a lovely plush fish. Flora says they all have names and personalities. and looking at pictures of these adorable little fellows, it's hard not to believe her!

le fabeuleux amelie

i adore much love. it's one of my favorite blogs, everything you see is peaceful and gorgeous and just takes your breath away. so obviously it's where i found out about these amazing Amelie inspired (by now most of you know that Amelie is my all time favorite movie. if you don't, just check out my about me) photos by the very talented (and very new to me) photographer Cecilia Austin. the model is no Audrey Tautou, that's for sure. but she evokes such a whimsical feeling and is so delightful to look at that she seems to transform into Amelie nevertheless.

ps- yes, i did put every single photo on here. yes, i did make them all extra large. yes, i do love Amelie (and these pictures!!!) that much. =]

penelope

okay, so i saw Penelope a while back after Lou recommended it to me for the wardrobe and set design (and...ahem...the hot James McAvoy factor...) and i really liked it. the movie itself was nice and charming, but the amazing costumes and sets are what i drooled over. i highly highly recommend this movie if you haven't already seen it. =]

me

My photo
Portland, OR, United States
hi! i'm Lena, but you can call me Lulu. i love Frida Kahlo, feminism, art, reading, kitties, and drinking tea. i love the film Amelie and i think that the tiny traveling gnome has stolen my heart. i want to own a bookshop and live above it one day. i get quite passionate about things. i tend to think too much. i'm kind of a hermit.
