Easter is almost here! it's time to celebrate new birth and the return of spring after a long winter! i decided to put together a little Etsy collage inspired by eggs. it's been a while, but my mother and i (and our next door neighbors) used to make pysanky eggs every April. eggs are a big symbol of the fertility of spring and Easter for me...our chickens are laying eggs and the birds fluttering around are starting to lay eggs...it's all so wonderful and it makes me smile! does anyone here have any Easter traditions? or any spring traditions? there are so many good memories to be made around this time of year!

floral dresses

i'm in the mood for some floral dresses. there are about a million different types of florals out there, so your options are pretty much endless. plus, they make me think of spring, and i so want it to be spring! i was on Hawthorne St. the other day and it was feeling slightly like spring so there were lots of people out and about. i was in a coffee shop, sitting by the window (to get the best people watching experience, of course) and i was sorely missing everything that comes with lovely weather. pretty flowers (not just in the ground, on clothing, too!), light rains, lots of sun, and dresses! not that you can't wear dresses in the winter, but there's just something about wearing a dress in the springtime that seems absolutely perfect.
